Buddy & Richie’s Foraging Safety Guide

This safety guide is shared by Buddy the Forager Dog and his little brother Richie. It’s for children, families, and fellow curious foragers who want to stay safe and learn with nature.
Buddy & Richie’s Golden Rules:

🌿 Only eat what you absolutely KNOW is safe – like a pear!

👃 Smell and look, but don’t taste unless your grown-up says it’s okay.

🚶 Always stay close to your human when exploring outdoors.

🏞️ Rivers and streams can be fast – don’t go in, even if it looks shallow.

🐝 Bees and bugs are friends, but they don’t like being surprised!

🧺 Carry water and snacks – Buddy says good foragers stay hydrated.

📸 Take a photo instead of picking rare or unknown plants.

🐾 Wild friends (like deer or hedgehogs) should be left alone and admired from afar.

Remember, foraging is about being kind, curious, and careful. Buddy always says: ‘If you’re not sure – ask your human!’
